The Story

In March of 2008 we decided to move to Rochester and open a Chocolate and Wine bar. We had fallen in love with the big “mouth wash” blue house on University and Merriman. We moved there and … well … painted it immediately. Typically this should be done last, but if you had seen the color you would understand the urgency….

We would renovate the first floor and insert our dream.

During those 18 months of sawdust and chainsaws, painting and pointing, and at some points waiting out the blizzards (both figurative and literal) we were given the needed time to taste and blend, pair and compare and finally create a menu of desserts, wines, beers and cheeses that blend and complement each other elegantly and above all tastefully. We had a lot of fun – and not much sleep.

The assortment of mix and match elements that evolved into what are now our menu offerings are each special and amazing in their own ways – from the heart shaped passion fruit bon bon to the incredible roaring 40s Blue with wonderful little flavor pockets of delight.

To finally be able to offer our concept and dream is exciting and surreal.

We are so proud to be a part of the surrounding ARTWalk community and this building’s history. To be able to stand in front of such an amazing home and finally invite the community in is a long awaited treat.

Thank you for your interest in our little haven – we hope you’ll come in and let us share it with you soon.
